Live Ocean Racing has been racing in ETF26 since the start of the season. Skippered by New Zealand's Liv Mackay, the team is made up of some of the country's best sailors including Olympic and world champions Jo Aleh, Molly Meech, Alex Maloney, Erica Dawson and Jason Saunders as coach. Also competing on the SailGP circuit, the crew quickly settled into the 26-foot catamaran and finished second on the podium at the last event.
Learning to sail at Murrays Bay Sailing Club, Seb progressed through the Optimist, P-Class, 420 and 29er securing national titles in all four classes, bronze in the 29er at the World Sailing Youth Champs, plus 420 Open and Youth Worlds titles
Alex’s achievements include 3rd overall and 1st female at the World Champs in Optis 2007, 29er Youth Worlds Silver medal, 420 Worlds Gold medal. Teaming up with Molly Meech the pair won gold at FX Worlds 2013, 3rd at the 2017 Worlds, and a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics in the 49erFX.
She was selected for a 2020 Youth Americas Cup team representing the RNZYS. Currently, Serena is competing in the 69F Sailing Youth Foiling Gold Cup and the Women’s Match Racing World Tour.
