Due to the current health situation, the initial calendar for the 2021 ETF26 SERIES has seen a few changes. The 43rd Spi Ouest-France which was supposed to be the grand season opener during Easter weekend has been moved to early October. And the Tout of Belle-Île which was to be raced on May 8th has been postponed to a later date. Therefor the first race of the season will be the Raid Quiberon in the first week of June.
Training sessions will resume shortly in order to get ready for the upcoming events. The English teams have a training session planned in Weymouth from May 17th to May 22nd. The French teams will be training in Port Haliguen (ENVSN) from May 21st to May 24th. Both the French fleet and the English fleet will join forces early July at Lake Garda for a week of exhilarating racing between the windy Italian cliffs for the Garda Foiling Week. It is THE rendez-vous of European foiling!
Autumn will be busy with a succession of three high-level events with all the ETF26s. It will start in the Bay of La Baule at one of France’s best yacht clubs for the Pro AM Foiler ETF26. The fleet will then be heading once again to La Rochelle for the National Foiler ETF26. This event will take place during the Grand-Pavois boat show where foiling boats will be under the spotlight. One week later will finally see the Spi Ouest-France take place. One of France premier sailing events, it will take place as always in the Bay of Quiberon.
This year will once more see a very competitive fleet composed of professional teams, some young crews and very experienced owners. Our realistic goal is to have 8 boats per event, and why not even 9! There are in fact two ETF26s on sale. Ready to be sailed, they are located in Brittany.
UN NOUVEAU PROGRAMME POUR LES ETF26 SERIES 2021
En raison de la situation sanitaire actuelle, le calendrier initialement prévu pour les ETF26 SERIES 2021 a subi quelques modifications. En effet, le 43e Spi Ouest-France qui devait lancer la saison lors du weekend de Pâques a été décalé à début octobre. Le Tour de Belle-Île qui devait lui avoir lieu le 8 mai a été reporté à une date ultérieure. Le premier event de la saison sera dont le Raid Quiberon début juin.
Pour s’y préparer, les entraînements vont donc recommencer. Pour les équipages anglais, ils sont prévus du 17 au 22 mai à Weymouth. Les équipages français, quant à eux, se réuniront du 21 au 24 mai à Port Haliguen (ENVSN). Début juillet, les 2 flottes se rejoindront au Lac de Garde pour une semaine de plaisir très intense le long des falaises ventées italiennes à l’occasion de la Garda Foiling Week. C’est LE grand rendez-vous du foil européen !
Un automne intense attend les équipages avec trois belles compétitions de très haut niveau avec toutes les forces ETF26 en présence. Cela commencera en baie de La Baule dans l’un des plus grands clubs français pour le Pro AM Foiler ETF26, avant de mettre le cap sur La Rochelle pour le National Foiler ETF26. Cet événement aura lieu pendant le Salon Nautique de Grand-Pavois, où les foilers seront mis en avant. Une semaine plus tard viendra enfin le Spi Ouest-France, évènement incontournable de la voile en France qui se disputera une nouvelle fois en Baie de Quiberon.
Cette année encore il y aura un très beau plateau avec des team professionnels, des équipages jeunes et des propriétaires très avertis. L’objectif réaliste est d’atteindre 8 participants par régates, et pourquoi pas 9 ! En effet deux ETF26 sont disponibles à la vente. Prêts à naviguer, ils sont basés en Bretagne.
